Sling Bag

                             Almost a new month already my how the year is flying by it will be dolly club day on Sunday the 7^th of August we are going to do a colouring on fabric workshop using our colouring pencils and colourless blender, I am looking forward to that day. I have a few more flowers in my garden it’s starting to look OK, my friend Pat finished her runner and has started on another two. Block 7 of my H.W.quilt is finished I have not finished a lot of sewing this month I have been doing a lot of walking with my family our council has made all these wonderful walking tracks around the town we all walk about 10k every Sunday (Love it) a lot of people walk their dogs and bike riders love it.

 Lovely day here in Mackay it is our winter months 8.00 in the morning and the temp is 12c not bad for winter.  I have been lazy (as usual) this month lots of planning not much work I did manage to finish a runner and bag for my Daughter  a runner for my friend Elizabeth almost finished a runner for my son in law and worked on my hexagons for my flower garden quilt .There a worthwhile project going on Amanda’s blog (Huggles for Ethiopia)so I will have to put my energy into working on the Huggles(lots of prizes)go pay her a visit .Have a great day all.

A Great Time over Easter

My garden is growing   slowly but it is growing I did add one flower to it this week. Had lots of fun learning to make a lead lighting wall hanging at Janome It took me a month (4 Mondays) to make it I loved lead lighting  so much I went home and started on another one an Australian Galah. It still has a lot of work to do on it I have to add the Gumnuts before it gets quilted I also had a go at stippling on the lady wall hanging and  made a Table runner. We all had a great Easter we went to the beach and the Kookaburra invited itself for lunch also went to the Botanic Gardens and had lots of walks .so glad Easter is over. Busy Busy Busy

It’s been a busy three weeks since my last posting I have started to sew a few Hexagons together for my garden quilt, sewn the next blocks for my Butterfly quilt and finished block 4 of the Henrietta Whiskers bom also learning to sew at Janome a lead lighting wall hanging I have never sewn lead lighting before and I love it I should have it finished by next Wednesday and will put it on line then It’s a wonderful day here in Mackay (no rain).  A parcel arrived with the fabric + that I won on Amanda's blog   I love the fabric thank you Amanda. I only made one  hexagon flower I did make a few white ones for in between.A photo of the table runner my friend Pat made,My first  months bom for Henrietta's Whiskers, I loved making them also my Quilt that I made from scraps. I have worked a bit on my butterfly quilt it’s been a long time since I started it I have looked at my dragon quilt that has to be finished and I found in my box of ufo’s two more quilts ready to be quilted. I have made four flowers for my garden this week I lost my mojo for a while and have found it again and hope to do a lot more sewing. Quilting at Janome has started this week we all had a good time on Monday and am looking forward to next week, Doll clubs have started up after the Christmas break but I have not thought what I will make yet. I also won a gift over at Amanda’s blog some fabric for my stash. It’s a great site (I love cloth dolls and cloth craft) Dolly Hugs to all. Rita.

Hi all, It’s a while since my last blog I have been busy and time seems to get away from me. It’s a great day here in Mackay a little warm in the middle of the day but a good day all the same, quilting starts again at Janome on Monday I am looking forward to it. I have a couple of projects I need to finish, my dragon quilt and my black and white crazy patch quilt.
