We have had wind and rain in Mackay for the last week I love the rain good weather to sit at the sewing machine and create not that I did I was just too lazy. I did manage to do my hexagons for the month I have finished 50 flowers now I still do not know how many I need for a double bed quilt someone please let me know. The doll clubs that I go to have closed or are about to close for the Christmas holidays so I will have lots of time to make hexagons. I also managed to make my project for the challenge on Amanda’s blog. Miss Molly had a visit from her friend Mr Ginger from over the way. Dolly Hugs to all. Rita.

 One Flower Wednesday I made seven hexagon flowers this week and have started on next week’s flowers I was looking at the hexagons all the girls made for one Flower Wednesday they are all wonderful good job ladies. it has been a good week to catch on things. I have uploaded a few photos of the new boat of the volunteer Marine Rescue. My neighbour took the photos; he works as a radio volunteer.  The weather is so perfect it’s too good to be indoors sewing. Dolly Hugs to all.

Lovely Surprise

I had a lovely surprise in the post on Friday the fabric arrived that I won in the September challenge on Amanda’s blog (I love cloth dolls and cloth crafts) I asked Amanda to choose for me and she choose the Moda Spirit what a great fabric the colours are ones that I love I will have to make something special with it .I did not make a lot of Hexagons this week I made some for Miss Molly’s quilt its wind and rain today in Mackay( I love it)a good day to make Hexagons All the girls in the one flower Wednesday make great hexagons wonderful colours

Great Day

Lovely day here in Mackay not hot not cold just perfect we do get a lot of them days. It’s my doll club day today looking forward to it; we always have a great time. Here are photos of my hexagons for this week; I missed out for the last 2 weeks .My cat Miss Molly thinks I made them for her I will have to make a mini quilt out of hexagons for her to lay on. Also photos of my Christmas doll for the challenge over at Amanda’s blog.

One Flower Wednesday

One flower Wednesday is here already they come by so quickly I have made five flowers for my garden this week that gives me a total of 31. I do not know how many I need to make a quilt so I will keep adding to my garden .
 I made the dolls a few years ago got tired of them and now I like then again so out they come and onto a chair so I can look at them,they are made from an Elinor Peace Bailey pattern.

Flower Garden Wednesday

I have been busy with my hexagons this week to make up for the lack of them for the past two weeks they are good to make while watching TV

Also made napkin rings for the Christmas in July challenge over at Amanda's blog (I love cloth dolls and cloth crafts)

On Sunday I went for a walk with my daughter and g/daughters at far beach came across this beautiful dog my G/daughter just had to take a photo of me and the dog with the owners consent. also a photo of her little girl Ava. Dolly Hugs to all Rita.

I just love my mailman yesterday he gave me a parcel from my Daughter Amanda (from I love cloth dolls and cloth crafts)she sent me some great fabric for my birthday to put in my stash, I love every one of them.
There was a beautiful card with very pretty cats on the front and back.
I have not had time to make my hexagons last week or this week I will make up for it next week. Our doll club was deferred to next Wednesday because some of the ladies were not well and I had a fall and hurt my chest, so we all needed an extra week before our meet, we will make up for it next week.

I love the pink fabric in my flower. I uploaded Shirley’s doll patterns yesterday because I knew I would not have time today I have not scanned the fourth pattern yet will upload it when I get a bit more time .

Great Weather

Another great day here in Mackay we did not have a winter this year beautiful weather. A wonderful day was had by all at Jays last Wednesday .we sewed talked and ate and did not get home till well after three o’clock so tired. Here is a photo of jay and her prize winning bag she got 1st at the Mackay show.
Shirley Giddy a friend and member of the doll club is now making and her own patterns
So far she has four patterns out and a fifth on the way. Her patterns are being sold on Doll maker’s journey
